Our Passion for Gardens
We are a young small Garden Maintenance Business. Located in The Hawkesbury NSW. We specialise in Hedges, from planting to maintaining your hedges of heights up to 10m Tall! We of course also provide all other gardening services to the highest of standards. With experience of maintaining some of the largest properties in western Sydney, we've brought our experience back to the Hawkesbury to please the residents of this lovely location. Over the years we have developed our attention to detail, no matter the size of the project, and are happy to work with you to ensure your satisfaction.
Our goal at 'Jono's Hedges' is to enhance and improve the appearance of your property, increase the value of your asset and turn your creative ideas into a reality.
Who is Jono?
I was lucky to grow up on the outskirts of Kurrajong, a small town in the Hawkesbury, 90 minutes West of Sydney.
I followed my 2 elder sisters attending local public schools of 'Grose View Public School', followed by 'Colo High School'.
Through my years whilst at school, I fell in love with sport. Any excuse to get outdoors, I enjoyed the challenge of learning a new sport and working on trying to perfect my craft in that field.
AFL, Athletics, Cricket, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, (or anything else that may have resulted in scoring a day off school).
As a kid, I believe the enjoyment of being involved in a team, training together and seeing improvement in self and others around me (even in those individual sports), was what kept me motivated.
Sport was and still is a big part of my identity. The values and lessons I learnt as a kid, I have tried to bring with me into my business today.
After graduating year 12 in 2017, I still wasn't sure what career path i wanted to go down.
I was working casually as a swim instructor, Athletics coaching as well as some bar tending of some evenings. My AFL coach at the time offered me to work with him and his team at 'Scapeworx', a prestigious garden maintenance business that predominently serviced the entire 'Hills' region on large acreage properties.
This is where the love for working in the garden really started. Although whilst there are certainly some tough aspects to this job, the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment you get at the end of every days work when you get to look back at the work you have completed makes every drop of sweat, every callus, every aching muscle totally worth it!
A couple of years down the track i had a back injury, that put a hold on the garden maintenance journey. I decided to take on a new challenge. It was still doing something I loved to do, working with kids.

• Jono – Founder and lead hedging specialist, bringing years of experience from maintaining some of the largest properties in Western Sydney.
• Ned – Skilled in gardening and hedge maintenance, working alongside Jono to deliver the highest standard of care.
• Maggie – The heart of our administration, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and ensuring clients are well looked after.
• Barry – Our friendly work dog and much-loved team mascot, always ready to bring a smile to clients’ faces.
Together, we combine expertise, reliability, and a personal touch to deliver a premier service to the Hawkesbury region.
